Founded by the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence (NCADD), National Alcohol Screening Day will be on Thursday April 5th as a great linchpin for Alcohol Awareness Month. Established in 1987 to help reduce the stigma associated with alcoholism, the nation's leading public health problem, organizations will be providing information about alcohol and recovery. NCADD’s national network of supporting organizations use this opportunity to spread awareness campaigns or host programs and events on topics ranging from drunk driving prevention to alcohol intervention.
