Celebrate by taking the stairs, hand-delivering messages instead of sending emails or voicemails, or sharing a healthy meal with a coworker.

Be An Active TV Watcher

TV-Exercise.jpg

During your shows can be a great time to lift weights or run on the treadmill.  Even if you only get up during the commercials of an hour long show to move, that’s close to 20 minutes!  Think about how much activity you could have gotten in during Super bowl commercials last night alone…

Focus on the Fun, Not the Food

The holidays are here, and rather than planning gatherings around meals, plan around activities such as caroling or ice skating to keep snacking to a minimum.

Incorporate Exercise Into Daily Activities

Cleaning.jpg

For example, clean with a purpose.  Don’t just sweep the floor… scrub the floor!  Don’t just unload the dishwasher… dance with the dishes!  Small segments of added physical activity like this can add up throughout the course of a day.
